This is a xxxxx day course running from 9:45am to 5pm.
The course enables you to deliver a professional 1 day course on Phlebotomy Blood Collection, either working as a trainer for ourselves, or on your own premises.
Your course will be provided by us, and therefore fully accredited.
It includes checking of procedures, health and safety, and taking live bloods.
On successful completion, you will be able to teach students about different Blood Collection Systems, lab testing procedures and issues that may arise.
You will also be able to run a Phlebotomy dry lab (mannequins and training pads not included in course price) plus be able to assess using a Phlebotomy live practice lab (real blood taking practice on human models).
All the healthcare health and safety, Phlebotomy health and safety, protocols and practical is provided in the course you are being trained to teach, which follows recognised HSC Skills For Health Standard (HSC 376) and meets World Health Organization Guidelines.

The course consists of theory and practical hands on application.
You will be continuously assessed and do a full simulated live client blood extraction, plus there is a health and safety assessment. If you do not already hold an Anatomy and Physiology qualification, please request a free course to be sent to you to complete online via courses@total-therapy.org.
You must be 18 years or older and understand spoken and written English.
You must consent to extracting blood and having blood extracted.
You must not have any blood disorders.
Yes, it does qualify you to extract blood from clients using the skills taught in the course as a professional vocation or for supporting your current therapist role.
